Aroha Williams

Aroha specialises in acoustic and fingerstyle guitar, teaching students from age seven through to adult beginners from her Christchurch studio and online. She built her teaching approach around the belief that technique should always serve the music rather than the other way round, so lessons balance solid fundamentals, such as posture, picking hand, and chord transitions, with real songs a student wants to play from early on. Whether she's guiding a seven-year-old through their first three chords or helping an adult beginner finally learn the song they've always wanted to play, she brings the same encouragement and structure to every lesson.

Aroha has independently completed a New Zealand Police Vetting Check through CVCheck. This is required for all Musician Gallery teachers to complete before their profile goes live.
