Priya Nair

Priya teaches flute to students of all ages across Dunedin and performs at wedding ceremonies on weekends, with a repertoire spanning classical, folk, and contemporary arrangements. Her teaching is built around whatever a student is working towards, whether that's grade exams, a school audition, or simply learning to play for enjoyment, and she adapts her approach rather than following one fixed method. As a performer she treats a ceremony brief the same way, building a set around the couple's taste rather than offering a standard programme. Whether she's guiding a first-year student through their first scale or playing a wedding processional, she brings the same warmth and attentiveness to the moment.

Priya has independently completed a New Zealand Police Vetting Check through CVCheck. This is required for all Musician Gallery teachers to complete before their profile goes live.
