Tama Ngata

Tama teaches contemporary and musical theatre vocal technique to students preparing for exams, auditions, or simply learning to sing with confidence, and performs as an event vocalist on weekends across Canterbury. His teaching draws on years performing live, so lessons focus as much on stagecraft and breath control under pressure as they do on pure technique. As a performer he often self-accompanies on guitar, giving smaller, acoustic-style bookings an intimate, stripped-back feel rather than relying on a full backing track. Whether he's coaching a student through their first audition or performing solo at a corporate event, he brings the same warmth and technical care to the work.

Tama has independently completed a New Zealand Police Vetting Check through CVCheck. This is required for all Musician Gallery teachers to complete before their profile goes live.
